What I love most about creative work is that I never quite know where it will take me next. I’ve built a career by being curious enough to try things, stubborn enough to figure them out, and excited enough by the result to keep going.

My path here wasn’t particularly traditional. I studied Spanish, earned a master’s degree in higher education, taught undergraduate courses, worked in academic support, recruited prospective students, and eventually found my way into creative work. I struggled to see a through line in a career that seemed to keep taking unexpected turns. It’s only now that I can look back and see how critical each role was for today's success. Every role gave me another skill, another perspective, another friend, or another way of approaching a problem, and somehow all of those seemingly unrelated experiences have found a place in the work I do now. It's wild!

I’m largely self-taught, and my creative career has grown one curiosity at a time. Design led me to photography, illustration, motion, video, brand stewardship, and beyond. I’ve never felt much need to choose between them. Being able to move across disciplines freely lets me see possibilities I might miss if I stayed in one lane. And, frankly, it's much more fun this way.

More than anything, I just really love this work. I think there is a story everywhere if you care enough to look for it. In the people doing remarkable work without thinking twice about it. In the millisecond before the shutter clicks. In why one tiny decision finally made the piece come together. Just ask my husband, who regularly gets a full debrief and presentation on every photo I took and why I made every choice I made! 



The world is full of interesting, beautiful things, and I feel so lucky that my job is to watch for them!
